広島県の実家の裏山にクリスマスツリーを数本植え、小さな森をつくった。猪が掘り倒さないように、根本はモルタルで固めている。
クリスマスツリーの起源として、ゲルマン民族による樹木信仰がキリスト教に改宗されてクリスマスのシンボルとなったらしい。

I planted several Christmas trees to create a small mountain on the mountain behind my parents' house in Hiroshima. The base is hardened with mortar to prevent wild boars from digging it up.
Christmas tree came from Germanic people. They worshiped and decorated trees and were converted to Christian and trees became the symbol of Christmas.
